Return of Condor Heroes - the two disciples of Golden Wheel Monk. A very early and rough version. I'd like to draw/paint them again & better.
(They sort of look like two sketches put together - they don't seem to occupy the same space. That's partly due to my incompetence, partly due to the fact that originally it was supposed to be Huo Du only. Da Er Ba came as kind of an afterthought... ;))

I think you are right. It seems like they are standing on different planes - i.e. the floor each monk is standing on is at a different angle to the other.
However I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't mentioned it.

Love the colour! And the folds in the robes are very convincing. Good stuff.

Great colour scheme - and I really like the "rough" look!

Brilliant drawing! Although I must say I always imagined Da Er Ba to be a monstrously buff monk haha

Thanks...:-)
I prefer to imagine Da Er Ba as a rather lanky, long-necked guy (though probably fairly broad-shouldered)...:-) I actually think he was described as "lanky" in ROCH (or at least in the 3rd edition fan translation that I've read)... Not sure, though... But since he wields such a monstrously huge and heavy weapon with such ease, I see how you might be tempted to see him as monstrously buff... makes sense...:-)
